Thursday 7th February 2008 was a monumental day for motorists around Macclesfield as after approximalely 272 days, the temporary traffic lights that had controlled movement around the Flowerpot junction were removed. Our Breakfast Team, lead by presenter Andy Clewes have followed with interest the on-going saga of the lights, even introducing a daily fanfare to countdown the number of days until the roadworks were due to finish. The entire Silk FM team marked the final morning of the temporary lights by dishing out certificates to queuing motorists, congratulating them on surviving the lights!
